Our Story So Far
It’s been an incredible 9 years, working in an amazing community, in an inspirational corner of the world, here in the North West of Ireland. It’s been trial, error and a huge learning curve. Our own Drumanilra Organic Farm has grown from 40 acres on the shores of Lough Key, to 300 acres. The farm produces organic, pedigree Dexter cattle, outdoor organic pigs, rare-breed sheep, organic laying hens, and a flourishing organic market garden.
All our own Drumanilra Organic Farm produce has so far been sold direct to our enthusiastic customer community via our Boyle based, multi-award winning, café and farm shop, the “Drumanilra Farm Kitchen”. Our customer base has grown steadily, both locally and across social media, over the last 9 years. Our local producer network has grown too and includes organic beef farmers, chicken producers, and vegetable growers, raw milk producers, tea blenders, coffee roasters, artisan cheesemakers and real bread bakers.
We are now ready to take the concept to the next level. We have, in addition to our home farm, secured three hugely exciting retail sites in three high profile locations, in which to build our brand, expand our customer reach and bring our fantastic tasting, nutritious and sustainably produced food to a wider audience.
